History
Our company’s history is one of fruitious cooperation and excellent performance on the part of individuals devoted to programming. The following chronicles the most significant events in the SimbirSoft story.
1994
The future founders of SimbirSoft join an international team of developers in a software development project for Logitech Inc. (USA).
The project included development of custom peripheral devises and software development.
1999
While working for Logitech Inc.,
Vitaliy Sumenkov (now CTO at SimbirSoft)
obtains US patent 5,945,980.
This year is also noted for successful cooperation between the SimbirSoft team of developers and Sotel Ltd, one of the leading
telecommunications operators at the time.
2001
This year is considered the year of SimbirSoft’s foundation.
Business relationships are established with Kimberly-Clark, GT Software and 3NF Corporation.
2002-2003
Increases in staffing prompt SimbirSoft to move to a new office. SimbirSoft developers successfully execute a project for the
Committee for Russian Sailing Sport: a
yacht race online tracking system,
capable of monitoring a yacht’s location, speed and
direction online, developed for the Volga Cup regatta.
2004
SimbirSoft begins long-term cooperation with SolovatSoft Inc. The company achieves a new professional level upon beginning
the Air project with a scope of 60 man-months.
2005-2008
SimbirSoft begins cooperation with IT-companies such as VDI, Avactis, Intland Software, Exigen Services, ACS, and others.
C# developers participate in events organized by the
Ulyanovsk .NET and Microsoft communities.
2009
SimbirSoft participates in the SofTool 2009
All Russian Exhibition of Information Technologies. The company introduces visitors to custom
software development, as well as software testing services.
SimbirSoft encourages promising young programmers by sponsoring the
Information Technology Master youth computer contest in Ulyanovsk.
2010
SimbirSoft joins the Russian Software Developers Association (RUSSOFT).
SimbirSoft representatives visit the CeBIT 2010
IT international exhibition in Hannover and the Sun Tech Days
2010 technical conference in Saint-Petersburg.
