The application is meant to remind of the important events connected with the company customers. For this purpose Sales Alerts receives the information from the CRM server www.salesforce.com. The application has a flexible user-friendly interface allowing the user to set up finely its operation.

PROBLEM:

CRM (Customer relationship management) is a system which provides an effective relationship with clients storing a well organized database. This database usually has information about the consumers, vendors, partners, and the company inner processes. It’s convenient to store such databases on a server in the Internet. Nevertheless there are some disadvantages of this solution, such as no access to the information working offline, no possibility to get reminders about upcoming events. Thus, it decided to develop an add-in for a widely known CRM system www.salesforce.com, allowing downloading regularly the necessary data from the server and showing automatically reminders about various events.

Simbirsoft Ltd outstaffed the developers for this project. They worked distantly and communicated via ICQ, e-mail, Skype.

Sales Alerts is meant to remind of important events connected with the company's clients. For this purpose Sales Alerts receives the information from the CRM server www.salesforce.com. The application has a flexible user-friendly interface allowing the user to set up finely its operation.

Sales Alerts has the following functionality:

  • automatic application download and connection establishment with the server when start the system;
  • application update check;
  • the necessary data automatic acquisition from the server and cashing;
  • flexible customization of the events to show the reminders;
  • customization of the reminder pop-up window clearance and its various visual effects;
  • ability to go to the CRM server web interface skipping authorization;
  • logging and ability to send the log file to the developer;
  • etc.

Simbirsoft developers' contribution
Sales Alerts was entirely accomplished by Simbirsoft programmers. Meanwhile the Framework developed by the customer was also used. For this reason there rose a lot of questions about the development synchronization. All the problems were successfully solved via remote communication.
