The healthcare application market grows 30% YoY on average, according to Global Market Insights. Many healthcare organizations create IT solutions to help patients meet various goals, e.g., making an appointment, monitoring health, or providing online consulting.
Task
In 2021, we started working with Severgrupp Medicina, an IT product company. Our client develops a mobile application for Scandinavia, a large chain of clinics established in 1996. The application's users are patients of a multi-profile clinic and Scandinavia AVA-PETER, a reproductive health clinic.
The company's objective was to offer new online services for their patients ASAP, which required them to extend their iOS development team forthwith. Through frictionless cooperation with the client, we to sign the documents and launched the project on short notice, around a week and a half.
In the first two and a half months of working together, we lent our support to the in-house team in a few tasks, including online services for such groups of patients as pregnant women and families with children. Let's look at how they work in more detail.
IVF Monitoring
A service for women using IVF services at the reproductive clinic. This service allows patients to manage their appointments, stages of interaction with healthcare professionals (appointments, medical tests, therapies, etc.), and see the answers to frequently asked questions.
Children’s Health Map
This service allows parents to monitor various parameters of their kid's development and sign up for scheduled visits to healthcare professionals as per the recommended schedule. In the event that some developmental factors require an extra consultation, the application offers the user the chance to make an appointment. Moreover, the team continues to develop the service and intends to add intuitive graphics to the application. Thereby, the parents of young patients can track changes in health metrics over time.
Uploading Medical Inspection Results
In the event that a patient has undergone examination at other clinics, he/she can upload the results to a personal account in the Scandinavia application. This enables the clinic's professionals to evaluate the data when working with the patient.
