Development of a Training Simulator for Emergency Response Actions in Offices
We possess extensive expertise in developing VR simulators of varying complexity, focused on modern training methodologies.
Within this framework, we have created simulators with standard behavioral algorithms, such as:
- Situation assessment;
- Compliance checks with safety regulations;
- Detection of hazardous situations;
- Selection of measures to eliminate threats.
Customer
A network of office centers and coworking spaces.
Task
- To practice actions and skills for rapid response in various emergency situations in the office.
- To minimize human casualties and injuries during emergencies.
- To assess employees' preparedness for different emergency situations.
- To train skills in using equipment, such as fire extinguishers.
- To reduce costs and time associated with training.
Solution
The project is developed on the Unity engine for PC version (see Fig. 1) to provide more detailed visualization and deeper immersion in the scenario.

The purpose of the simulators is to model a situation where participants can practice their actions during emergencies and familiarize themselves with the evacuation plan (see Fig. 2).

Within the scenario, participants can learn to use equipment that is not often utilized in real life, such as a fire extinguisher (see Fig. 3).
Figure 3. Using a fire extinguisher
Having a proper algorithm for actions during emergencies is one of the critical skills. The simulator enables users to learn how to make quick decisions. For instance, a small fire (see Fig. 4) can be extinguished with a fire extinguisher, while a serious fire that engulfs the premises requires different response protocols.
Figure 4. A minor emergency
Sometimes, every second counts. The correct actions of employees during an emergency can save lives.
After completing the simulator, participants receive an assessment that is uploaded to the LMS (see Fig. 5). This allows fire safety specialists to analyze the results and adjust training by focusing on challenging areas.

“VR simulators by SimbirSoft are unique simulations in a virtual environment. They incorporate all requirements for organizing training processes for emergencies, whether in schools, offices, or manufacturing settings. By leveraging VR technology, we will assist you in realizing your boldest ideas and projects,” — Sergey Galeev, Head of Backend Development.
Result
A VR simulator has been developed that allows for the analysis of employee reactions to emergency situations in the office.
