Registration form optimization for a Large B2B company
The company was losing revenue due to user interface issues.
We updated and optimized the registration form design to improve user retention. As a result, the company’s number of active users increased by 56%.
Client
Large b2b company that provides SaaS solutions for data search and analysis.
Task
The client’s issue was related to high user churn after registration. We conducted an audit and discovered that the overcomplicated and unintuitive instruction form was hindering users from engaging with the service.
We had to optimize the UI in order to eliminate the root cause of the activity decline after registration.
Solution
The SimbirSoft team worked on a complex modernization of the instruction form interface on the client’s platform.
Key changes:
-
Activity type search process optimization.
-
Simplified and consistent interface after registration.
-
Reduction in the number of instruction slides.
-
Addition of an adaptive layout for all types of devices.
Implementation of activity type selection functionality:
-
Automatic generation of search queries and filtering of irrelevant results.
-
Instant display of the relevant information after registration.
-
Improved user loyalty and increased sales conversion rates.
Search accuracy improvement:
-
An option to set a search radius from a given location.
-
Increase in the result relevancy.
Addition of a filter system:
-
Flexible search settings based on individual needs.
-
Speeding up the process of finding relevant information.
Result
Thanks to the teamwork of SimbirSoft’s specialists and the updates they implemented, the registration process became simpler and more user-friendly.
The conversion throughout the platform testing period of two months increased by 56%, compared to the previous registration form over the same period of time.
This has directly impacted the growth in the number of active users, the customer base expansion, and, as a result, the growth in the client’s revenue.
Main Issues
The users were not able to find relevant information due to system limitations. It only recognized strict technical terms built in by the developers while failing to recognize casual language and minor spelling mistakes.
As a result, the user was not able to complete their task, prompting them to leave.
Developers and analysts at SimbirSoft have performed an instruction form overhaul: we have integrated a semantic engine that auto-fills keywords and manages exceptions, and we have also set up contextual tips for spelling errors. If a user makes an error, they get offered a list of specific correct options to choose from.
Now the system is much better at understanding the users’ queries, even if they are not worded on an advanced technical level or contain errors.
