Sportmaster — Online Store Development
Sportmaster is one of Russia's biggest sports and recreation retailers. We have been partnering with them since July 2019 to help develop their online store. Working with the partner, we have been gradually implementing a range of features to simplify online shopping. These include creating a new cart, updating the main page of the online store, and building a personalization strategy.
The "COVID transformation" of the official website
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused retail shops to close temporarily. To respond to the changing market situation, Sportmaster gave their website and key sales channels a "Covid transformation." We lept right into the fray upon the client's request. We added home delivery of products available in a store and contactless pickup to the online store. Deployment of the Eyezon service enables Sportmaster consultants to demonstrate products or answer a customer's questions via a personal online conference.
Creating a dynamically updated cart
Our professionals have also joined the client's team in developing a user-friendly shopping cart. So we switched it to the OrderGate order processing service where Sportmaster's other products are already offered. We also created a single module for both mobile and desktop versions of the website. The key advantage of a dynamically updated cart is that all order information – the list of selected products, shipping options, customer contact data, and payment methods – is located on a single page.
Integration with the personalization service
Sportmaster's representatives insisted that each visitor to the online shop receive sporting goods offerings tailored as per his/her interests and shopping history. So, we integrated the personalization service into the cart and updated the product catalog and authorization widget. Now, users can quickly find the goods they need thanks to big data technologies.
